Introductory
There is insurance available in Mexico on most all types of
risks. The most common is on building structures, content in the structures and
automobiles. Prior experience has shown me that it is common to see that the
insurance companies delay in making payouts. They just don't like to give up the
money. If they can find a just cause to withhold, they commonly will. One such
reason to withhold is that the item insured was not properly imported into
Mexico. The reputation of the insurance agent as well as the insurance company
are very important.
