Danger: Like any big city it is beautiful as such and even more so since its in Latin America. However, like most big cities, it does have its problems with crime. Taxis: It is recommended that you not flag down just any taxi off the street, but rather get a taxi from a fixed location taxi stand either at a hotel or elsewhere (There are city buses and the "Metro" city train). When possible, also take down the drivers name and driver i.d. no. Cash/Jewels/Valuables: It is not a wise idea to carry (noticeable) on your person nor flash money, jewelry or other values in public since it only attracts unwanted attention. Travel At Night: Like most places in the world, the unspoken rules and types of persons out at night are not the same as the day. Drinking: Don't drink and drive, nor drink to the point of losing your self control, since there might be someone wanting to take advantage.

Location: West Coast of Mexico, Banderas Bay, in both States of Jalisco and Nayarit, City of Puerto Vallarta.

Climate: Tropical and Humid. Summer (June, July, August, September) Very humid and hot. Still 10 minutes up and into the jungle behind the city, the climate much cooler and enjoyable. Approximately 300 sunny days a year. The rainy season is July to September.

Puerto Vallarta is located on the same parallel as that of Hawaii and their climates are also similar.
